Lead Aftercare Teacher

Boulder Waldorf Kindergarten is looking for a special person to join us as Lead Teacher in our Angel Garden aftercare program.

The following is a requirement for this position:
• direct Waldorf or LifeWays experience, as a teacher or student - DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

The following is a plus:
• Colorado Early Childhood Teacher qualified, formerly called GLQ or Group Leader Qualified

Hours:
This position is 20 to 26 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 12 noon - 4pm, with optional morning hours. Working with children ages 3 to 5 years old.

Start date:
Immediately.

Pay:
$18 per hour plus benefits.

Job description:
Lead a group of 15 - 17 children through lunch, rest time, and play time. Supervise an assistant teacher.

About BWK:
Boulder Waldorf Kindergarten is an early childhood center serving families and children, ages 12 months to 6 years. Located on a beautiful 2 acre farm school in north Boulder, Colorado, the environment at BWK is carefully prepared to create an atmosphere of inspiration for learning. Our expansive play yard is filled with shade and fruit trees, large organic / biodynamic gardens, lots of natural wood climbing structures, old fashioned toys and an authentic tipi. Children participate in creative play, help to grow and harvest vegetables, fruit and flowers, and assist in caring for our dairy goats and chickens. Our school is in a lovely and spacious, light-filled adobe-style building.
