Grade One Teacher 2012-13

Bright Water School is seeking a Waldorf-trained and experienced individual to lead the Grade One class of 2012-13. The deadline to apply for this position is Feburary 1, 2012.
Qualifications:
We welcome all Waldorf-trained candidates. Candidates are required to have a BA or BS and a Waldorf Teaching Certificate. Applicants with Waldorf teaching experience preferred.
• BA or BS degree
• Waldorf Teaching Certificate
• Grade school teaching experience
• Current First Aid, CPR and bloodborne pathogen training
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to climb stairs
• Applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check
Salary and Benefit Information:
Salary range is between $39,200 and $54,000 depending on experience. Position includes benefits of tuition remission, medical, dental and vision care. Professional development support includes mentoring from colleagues, regular evaluations by an outside evaluator, and funding for Waldorf trainings and workshops.
Our school is located in an historic landmark building overlooking the north end of Seattle, Lake Union, and the Olympic Mountains. We have an enthusiastic, supportive parent group and an enrollment of approximately 200, and an experienced and diverse faculty. The Seattle area has a large Waldorf community supported by several schools, a local teacher training program and a solid Anthroposophical study group.
