Desert Sky is seeking a qualified First Grade Teacher to begin as soon as possible with our First Grade Class -- 15 adorable and lively students! The Teacher carries Main Lesson and one specialty subject, and has one free period each day for planning. Our ideal teacher is kind, works well with parents, and has Waldorf Training, State Certification, and classroom experience. Bachelor degree and Fingerprint Clearance required.

Desert Sky Community School is a small school with 70 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. There are four full-time teachers. This is our sixth year as a charter school inspired by Waldorf Education. We have recently purchased a new site and the teacher will help with set-up and transition to the new space.

This position may be suitable for an experienced or retired Waldorf teacher who would finish out the school year with us, while we find the ‘forever’ teacher for the students.
