Chinese language teacher or classroom assistant
Nov 12 2011 | Seeking | anywhere
Ning Hao!
Greetings from Taiwan, I hold a bachelor’s degree of education granted by the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling at Taiwan Normal University (2009). I am also a registered teacher in Taiwan. In addition, my interests in Steiner Education led me to another learning stage, the Diploma of Steiner Education granted by Taruna College in New Zealand (2011). Traveling to another country has opened my eyes and I wish to open many more doors. It is fascinating to work, live, and study in another country.
I’m keen on applying the Steiner approach in my teaching and I have been looking for a job in a Steiner school. My first language is Mandarin Chinese and I am fluent in English. I could design Chinese learning programs for students and/or teachers, which will benefit both native Chinese speakers and second language learners.
I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who has wide variety of subject area strengths such as music, arts and physical activities. I’m a great source for creative ideas and a spirited encourager. I have also been a Sunday School teacher and program designer for Hoping Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. Volunteering as a storyteller in Life Education programs was truly inspiring. These programs are lacking in the Taiwanese schools and I found that by participating in them, I could bring a positive influence for the community.
I believe that Steiner Education is a multifaceted experience for both the students and the teachers. This 7-year journey incorporates many of my personal and artistic interests and abilities. Since the schools teach to the head, heart, and hands the students have a balanced learning environment. This balance is also an artistic one that the teacher is free to sculpt for the individual needs of each child. I appreciate that Steiner schools also encourage the healthy relationship between the children, parents, and administration. I look forward to being apart of this harmonious partnership.

Sincerely yours,
Rachael Hsu
