Secretary of the Board of Directors

This is a volunteer position.
Qualifications. The Board of Directors is dedicated to the service of children and families; committed to learning about anthroposophy, Waldorf education, and Rudolf Steiner’s insights into the evolution of humanity as these apply to our purpose. This person must be highly competent in the skill and experience necessary for the management of the business, property, and affairs of our non-profit organization.
The Secretary is custodian of all records and documents of the Corporation which are to be kept at the principal office of the Corporation, acts as secretary of all the meetings of the Board of Directors, and keeps the minutes of all such meetings in books proposed for that purpose. The Secretary sends notices of all meetings to be served to all members of the Board and keeps the minutes of all meetings of the Board, including the time and place, the names of those present, the actions taken, and the votes on such actions. The Secretary presents the minutes of the previous meeting at the subsequent meeting to be voted on by the Board and duly noted in the minutes. The Secretary keeps the Seal of the Corporation.
Regular Board meetings are held monthly September through June. Special meetings may be held at any time when called for by the Board Chair or a majority of Board members. An annual Board planning meeting will be held in January; an annual general meeting will be held once a year to inform parents and friends of the school and art center of the status of the school and center and to update them on the long-range plan.
