First Grade

Grade One Teacher
Dec 23 2011 | Sandpoint Waldorf | Sandpoint, Idaho
We are seeking a Waldorf trained and experienced teacher for our grade one class in fall of 2012. SWS has 137 students K-8 housed in our own light and sunny building next to parks and playfields. We offer a full and rich Waldorf curriculum deeply rooted in anthroposophy with handwork, foreign language, movement, music, eurythmy and other grade specific activities. We have a strong trained and experienced faculty, a supportive parent body and a strong presence in the greater community.
The school is looking for a colleague able to carry the class, work well with colleagues and parents and, after the first year, participate in the school's greater faculty work including festivals and committees.
Sandpoint is located on the shores of Lake Pend Orielle and is surrounded by the Selkirk and Cabinet mountains - a natural paradise. Sandpoint is a small town of 7000 with a rich cultural life, recently voted the most beautiful small town in America and the first transition town in America.
SWS offers its teachers tuition remission, health insurance and retirement benefits.
Please contact our administrator for more information - Michael Soule, msoule@sandpointwaldorf.org, 206-245-0100
