4 days a Week / Homeschool Group / K/Gr 1
Jan 04 2012 | Cedar Bridge School / Farm School | Lumby, BC, Canada
Cedar Bridge School is a Waldorf Inspired Community and School located in the Lumby Valley, in British Columbia, Canada. Our school is nestled within a cedar and pine forest, alongside a murmuring creek, with the vista of the grassy fields of a certified organic farm before us.
We have about 20 families who enroll their children in our three main programs: Parent and Child, Mixed Preschool/Kindergarten, and Grades 2, 3 and 5. Our classes are small due to our rural area, and we are creative in our how we meet the needs of the small group of children who come to us.
We are looking for a person who is engaged and inspired by Anthroposophy and Waldorf Education, to teach a Kindergarten / Grade One - split class of 5-8 students, 4 days a week, for 2012/2013. We expect that this person will take their class up through the Grades with a minimum commitment of four years.
We are interested in a person who wants to have a life that is natural, creative and who is committed to teaching and learning with others in a loving and joyful way. Farm life and forest life is a large part of our curriculum. - so bring rubber boots and a love of the outdoors!
Cedar Bridge School is a unique oasis in this modern world. If you are interested, please contact me - there is much more to discuss – how our program is run, wages and specific details regarding the ages and needs of the children of this up and coming class.
