Lead Teacher in India: Early Childhood & Kindergarten

The Rudolf Steiner School of Pune (India) is seeking a lead Early Childhood/Kindergarten Teacher for the school year, June 2012 - March 2013.
Pune is 4 hours south east of Mumbai. It is the eighth largest metropolis in India. Culturally rich and an educational hub since Ancient India, Pune offers an ideal location for someone to live, breathe and enjoy India for one/more year/s.
We are launching the first ever Steiner school in Pune this April 2012. This is the first year of our school. Our intention is to offer a comprehensive Waldorf program in Pune serving children from a Parent/Infant Program through the 10th Grade.
The ideal candidate has training and experience working with the Waldorf Early Childhood curriculum, holds a Waldorf Teacher Training Certificate and a bachelors or masters degree. We value excellent teaching and classroom management skills, as well as a deep understanding of child development. We also seek a colleague committed to building strong collegial and parent relationships, and one who is committed to self-development.
This position is considered a Program Lead Teacher position. This position is responsible for the Early Childhood/Kindergarten program, which will be held 5 days per week. We are pleased to offer the qualifying candidate accommodation in Pune and a competitive salary based on experience. In addition you will be provided with extensive administrative and collegial support, including two (2) experienced mentor, a program director, a program coordinator and access to training and conferences. With three (3) of our enthusiastic team members just finishing their teachers training in February, we will have a great support network for the classroom as well.
