Pasadena Waldorf School Seeks High School Teachers for Life Sciences and History Through Art Blocks
2012-2013 School Year
Pasadena Waldorf School will open its new High School with a Freshman Class in August 2012. An independent, not-for-profit school for children in early childhood through grade eight, fully accredited by AWSNA, Pasadena Waldorf School is nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Our school is a welcoming retreat from suburban congestion, with easy access to the mountains, the seacoast, and the amenities of the Greater Los Angeles area. Pasadena Waldorf High School will open in 5,000 sq. ft. of classroom and office space on the William Carey International University, a 17-acre property 2.5 miles from the lower school campus.
We are looking for experienced High School teachers for main lesson blocks in life sciences (3-week block) and history through art (4-week block). Waldorf high school teacher training is required, although we would consider strong candidates currently in a Waldorf high school training program. This is a wonderful opportunity, especially for a well-seasoned specialist, to help build and form a Waldorf High School. The ideal candidate is friendly, open, well-spoken, and holds a bachelor’s degree or higher. He or she has already been successful teaching and enjoys working collegially in a Waldorf school.
Qualified interested candidates should fax, mail, or e-mail the following to Jennifer Tse, Director of High School Administration, at jtse@pasadenawaldorf.org
• Letter of interest and intention
• Resume
• Brief biography
• Three references, including most recent employer
• Current contact information
