Candidates should be able to lead a classroom of children with warmth, joy and reverence. We request those who can also work harmoniously and respectfully with their assistant, other colleagues and parents. We are full members of WECAN and an AWSNA developing school
We have an ambitious agenda for the coming years that will enable us to offer an extraordinary Waldorf education in an intensely urban environment. We offer programs for Parent-Child, Nursery, Kindergarten, Grades 1-7, Home-schooling, and after-school, as well as Foundation Studies and a rich adult education community. In addition to the class teachers, the lower school program is enriched by special subject teachers in music, eurythmy, handwork, woodwork, games, Spanish and Chinese. Our goal is to add a class each year, until we reach eight grades. Our mission is to bring Waldorf education to the Brooklyn community and to reflect the cultural, racial, and socio-economic diversity of Brooklyn in our community.
