7th / 8th grade teacher or H.S. level

Hi,
My name is Ken Beider. I have been a certified teacher for seven years, and a teacher for well-beyond that space of time. I believe that I fit the Waldorf model, as I my educational philosophy is myutic in nature, and in practice. Simply put, I believe in teaching from the inside out. That in a classroom setting, questions are often times more important the the answers they illicit. I believe that learning is fun, and gaining knowledge can be a blast. I've taught in one particular charter school for the past six years because the administration has allowed me to set my own curriculum and tend to my classroom as I see fit. In exchange for that latitude I've been given, I provide the school with better state mandated test scores than other schools of our ilk. Please keep in mind that I do not teach to the tests, as I believe that would be a waist of time. I do, however, help students to help themselves in realizing that life is not good or bad, that life just happens, and that the way in which one chooses to view their given circumstance can greatly affect the quality of their lives.
Hopefully, I've provided you with a snapshot of my person hood, as an educator and as a caring, compassionate, and communicative being.

If possible, I would love to set up an interview, so that I may be added to your files, not forever, mind you, ;) but so that you will keep me in mind if, and when, an opening in the teaching staff at your school arises.

Thank you for taking the time to read this missive.
I can be reached at the following number: 323-854-0345.
