Hello,

My name is David Rée. I am a musician, with a BA in music composition/theory and vocal performance, and conducting training. I have been raised in Camphill and Waldorf communities. Music is my passion and anthroposophy is what I have been raised in, and am currently working to understand in more depth as I study for the second year of Alkion, the waldorf Teacher's training at Hawthorn Valley School.

I have experience with classical music, as well as folk traditions from around the world from multiple enriching Village and Northern Harmony experiences. I am also familiar with the anthroposophical and waldorf festival calendar and much of the music and drama which accompanies this. As a result, I bring a well-rounded approach and scope to music instruction.

Although not yet extensive, I have had fruitful experiences directing groups of between 5 and around 100 people over the past few years. I am a positive, friendly, articulate, knowledgeable and hard-working teacher. There is nothing I would rather do than teach music, which is my passion in life.

I am also open to teaching other subjects and/or mentoring for college prep or in general to create a larger position if a full time music position is not available.

I am open to moving with my family almost anywhere if the position arises.
