Seventh Grade Class Teacher
Jan 22 2012 | Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork | Carbondale, CO
The Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork is seeking a seventh grade teacher to join our progressive, warm faculty beginning for the school year of 2012/2013. We are seeking a candidate with a BA or BS along with Waldorf class teacher training.
WSRF is located in the Rocky Mountains of Western Colorado close to Aspen. We have a supportive parent body and a caring faculty. Our school is set in a beautiful valley where the community enjoys a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities year-round. Our school has one preschool, two kindergartens and grades one through eight with approximately 150 students. Our campus is all straw bale construction and designed based on Steiner’s architectural indications, providing a beautiful space for our faculty and children to thrive. Our faculty works cooperatively and collaboratively together within a greater community that is progressive, has a small town feel while benefiting from the multi-faceted cultural opportunities of Aspen.
This rising seventh grade class will benefit from a teacher who joyfully, willfully and masterfully works with adolescents to provide a strong academic experience within the context of an artful Waldorf education. This class of thirteen students is joyful, excited about learning, and they enjoy working together. This class has an exceptional group of parents who are cooperative, supportive and hard-working. Teaching this group of adolescents would be an excellent opportunity to give the gift of two crowning, final years of a Waldorf elementary experience.
We offer a strong benefits package, competitive salary, and remission. WSRF is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religious affiliation or sexual orientation.
If you are interested in exploring this possibility for your teaching career and your life path, please send an inquiry to Carla Comey, Faculty Administrator, at carla@waldorfcarbondale.org or reach us via phone at (970)963-1960.
We look forward to talking with you!
