First Grade Teacher
The East Bay Waldorf School is seeking a warm, creative and artistic teacher to guide our rising Class One on their journey through the grades. We are looking for someone who has completed Waldorf Teacher Training, ideally has previous Waldorf teaching experience, a grounding in anthroposophy and a Bachelor’s Degree or higher. The Class One teacher must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to plan and organize instruction, and the capacity to work with students at many ages and stages of development. An aptitude for strong colleagueship and the development of warm relationships with parents is also highly valued.
East Bay Waldorf School is located on its own beautiful 11-acre property abutting the East Bay hills just 15 miles north of Berkeley, CA. We are graced with a “country” setting amidst the culturally rich SF Bay Area environment. EBWS is an AWSNA member-school, and is jointly accredited by WASC and AWSNA. Currently our campus contains a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade program serving 135 students, and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2010. We offer a competitive salary with increments for teaching experience, health and dental insurance, and tuition remission for qualified faculty children.
