The Halton Waldorf School is inviting applications for a Grade One Class Teacher for September 2012. Our ideal candidate will have Waldorf teacher training and have some prior teaching experience. We are seeking candidates who are committed to the values of Waldorf education and willing to become part of our warm and thriving community.

The Halton Waldorf School was founded in 1984 and is accredited through AWSNA. We have over 180 students from Parent and Child to Grade Eight and an outstanding faculty and staff of 25, and are supported by an enthusiastic parent body and Board of Trustees. Our well-established curriculum includes French, German, eurythmy, art, handwork, woodwork, gardening, cooking and physical education.

The Halton Waldorf School is situated on five wooded acres in northeast Burlington, close to the natural wonders of the Niagara Escarpment and the shores of Lake Ontario. The amenities and culture of Toronto are a half-hour drive away. We are committed to providing a healthy, beautiful and sustainable environment which supports the pedagogical mission of the school.

Salary for the position is dependent on teaching experience. The school offers a generous benefits package as well as tuition remission for children of faculty.
