PEDAGOGICAL EURYTHMY TEACHER

Jan 11 2017 | Westside Waldorf School | Pacific Palisades, CA

The Westside Waldorf School in Pacific Palisades, California, has a current opening for a warm, dynamic and experienced Eurythmy teacher, to lead classes for Kindergarten through Grade 8. Both full-time and block teaching candidates will be considered. The ideal candidate has a full pedagogical Eurythmy diploma from an Association of Eurythmy Training in a Dornach-recognized school, and has experience teaching Eurythmy in a Waldorf school, preferably in the lower grades. We value excellent skills in teaching and classroom management, communication, and collegial and parent relationships, as well as depth in spiritual work, a commitment to self-development and understanding of students and their development.

Westside Waldorf School's main campus is nestled between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. We are fortunate to have both the ocean and the local state park within easy walking access for class outings and learning opportunities. In addition to our full grades 1-8 program, we have four Nurseries, three Kindergartens, and two Parent Child Programs. Our school enjoys not only healthy enrollment, but also a diverse community made up of families and experienced teachers and staff members, with a broad array of life experiences and geographic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Our graduates successfully transfer to a wide variety of both local and out of area high schools. Westside Waldorf students experience a rich program which includes Eurythmy, Spanish, Japanese, Handwork, Woodwork, Instrumental and Choral Music, Games, a Middle School Math track and Gardening classes. We also provide After-School Sports and an Enriched Aftercare Program.

Westside Waldorf School has begun its path towards full AWSNA Accreditation and has been a full member with WECAN since 2009.
