HS Physical Sciences and Math Teacher
Apr 04 2017 | Monadnock Waldorf School | Keene, NH
The ideal candidate will have completed or currently be enrolled in an AWSNA recognized Waldorf teacher education program. We look for candidates who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about teaching out of the philosophical and methodological principles of Waldorf Education—in particular, the Goethean/phenomenological approach to science—and who are committed to working with adolescents. Candidates with previous HS teaching experience receive preference, especially if that experience is in a Waldorf school. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a related area; a Masters or PhD is preferred. Additional interests and skills in the arts, movement, outdoor education, student health and initiatives, are considered beneficial to candidacy.
For the right candidate or new teacher seriously interested in becoming a Waldorf teacher, MWS supports Waldorf training and provides in-school mentorship.
Full-time positions receive benefits and generous tuition remission for faculty children. To apply, please send or email: 1) a letter of interest, 2) your curriculum vitae, 3) a biographical sketch, and 4) three references to: Janet Gordon & Kim McCormick, High School Hiring Committee, Monadnock Waldorf High School, 146 School Street, Keene, NH 03431:
