Lead Toddler Teacher

City of Lakes Waldorf School seeks a lead early childhood teacher to pioneer our new toddler program, beginning in the 2017-18 school year. The teacher will be responsible for creating and maintaining a beautiful, warm and nurturing Waldorf environment for our youngest students, 18-36 months. Our new toddler classroom is an extension of our vibrant early childhood program and will be located at our Loring Park early childhood campus, one mile from our main school building directly across the street from a city park with a pond, paths, and big open spaces.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced early childhood educator childcare provider with extensive experience with Toddlers. S/he will have completed a bachelor’s degree and a Lifeways or Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher certificate program. A love of toddlers, a deep understanding of the Waldorf pedagogy as it relates to young children, and a demonstrated capacity to work well with parents is required. The teacher must work collaboratively within the school as a whole, and within the Early Childhood program, which consists of Parent/Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten classes.
