City of Lakes Waldorf School seeks a fully qualified and inspired teacher to join our faculty as the first grade teacher in the 2017-18 school year. Qualified candidates will have completed a college degree and Waldorf teacher training through a recognized institute. Candidates must have experience in the classroom, a strong commitment to Waldorf education and proven capacities for teaching. We seek individuals who are committed to excellence in teaching, parent education and dialogue, self-development, collegial cooperation and to working out of Anthroposophy. City of Lakes Waldorf School is dedicated to educating the whole child through an artistic and developmental approach. Our School and Community
City of Lakes Waldorf School is an accredited, full member school of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Independent School Association of the Central States (ISACS). We offer a preschool to Grade 8 education for 270 students, including Spanish, movement and games, eurythmy, handwork, woodwork, circus and music (recorder, strings and chorus) and after school sports programs. Our parent/child program introduces young families to Waldorf education.

Our experienced and creative faculty, led by the College of Teachers, is dedicated to excellence in Waldorf education and the development of curriculum to reflect our diverse, urban community. Our school celebrates its 28th anniversary in 2016 and is engaged in implementing a strategic plan and master plan for the future. Our board of trustees and talented and dedicated parent community support our 50 full and part time members of the faculty and administrative staff.
