Handwork Assistant

The Detroit Waldorf School is seeking a part-time handwork assistant for the 2017-18 school year. Candidates should enjoy working with students age 6-12, be handwork savvy and possess a vibrant interest in deepening their understanding of and working out of Waldorf pedagogy. The Grade 1-5 Handwork Curriculum includes knit, crochet, cross-stitch and embroidery. The position is paid by the class and the 10 class periods over the coming year are on Monday-Friday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:30pm.

The application process includes, but is not limited to: an introductory campus tour, and a hiring interview with members of the Personnel Committee. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the applicant.
