Substitution Coordinator

The Detroit Waldorf School seeks a part-time Substitution Coordinator for the 2017-18 school year. The ideal candidate has familiarity with and interest in Waldorf education, and brings experience, warmth, joy and enthusiasm to working with young children, as well as motivation, an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Candidates will be responsible for scheduling coverage for class and subject teachers. They must be available by phone early morning and evening and able to respond to emails, calls and texts and coordinate coverage in a timely manner. Professionalism and a pleasant phone manner are required.
There is a guaranteed two hour weekly flat rate of compensation for this position.
Qualified candidates may also provide substitution coverage.
