Tamarack Waldorf High School is currently seeking an individual to provide literacy instruction and Special Needs program coordination for the 2017-18 school year. The qualified candidate must have a B.A. and teaching experience with high school-aged students. Waldorf School experience and a Wisconsin Teaching license are preferred.
This position involves providing remedial literacy instruction (reading and writing skills, in particular) to individuals and small groups; developing Services Plans and providing student case management; communicating and coordinating with parents and faculty. Our Special Needs program is developing in our new High School. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, a self-starter and has demonstrated taking initiative.
Tamarack Waldorf School is a full member of AWSNA, has a robust Pre-K—12th grade enrollment of approximately 275 students, and participates in the Milwaukee Parental Choice (voucher) Program. A culturally, economically and racially diverse student body from throughout the Milwaukee region is guided through the full complement of Waldorf Education by Tamarack’s well-trained, innovative, highly professional and long-serving faculty and staff. Having opened our High School in 2014, we are delighted to be graduating our first twelfth grade in the spring of 2018. Tamarack faculty and students are fortunate the school is within walking distance of many nature settings in an urban landscape, such as the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan.
