Job Title: High School Educational Resource Director

FLSA Status: Exempt - Part Time

Position Summary

The High School Educational Resource Director is responsible for implementing and supervising the school’s resource program. This position works with individual students and their families to determine what accommodations and resources are needed by the student with an understanding of what the school is able to provide, as well as educating and communicating with the full faculty about how to best serve each individual student.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Individual Learning Plan (ILP)Design
Help refer families for formal testing/evaluation
Review formal testing results when they are released to the school and make recommendations/suggestions to the faculty
Gather and review documentation specific to the students’ developmental histories
Develop, coordinate, and implement student ILPs using formal testing results
Maintain professional documentation, records, and student files for students with learning challenges
Create and update forms

Individual Learning Plan (ILP) Implementation
Help students be successful through working with them and helping teachers understand what accommodations they need.
Respond to the needs of the faculty in support of students with learning challenges
Observe students in classes and work with teachers to meet students’ learning needs
Meet one-on-one with students as needed to provide additional support services for their learning needs (academics, socialization, study skills, etc…)
Check in with students if needed.
Communicate with HS Counselor when students with ILPs have a need for counseling

Coordinate support systems
Coordinate weekly reports
Coordinate peer note taking system

Apply for standardized testing accommodations to the College Board and ACT

Consult with the HSLG and/or high school faculty and attend high school faculty meetings

Meet periodically with the lower school Educational Support Director and/or the Middle School Support Team
Communicate and plan the transition from middle school to high school for students with learning challenges
Share policies, procedures, and forms (consistency)
Uphold the public image of Support/Resource program

Education and Qualifications / Regulations
Educational/Resource Support Experience at the High School Level
Undergraduate College Degree
Waldorf Education experience desired

Work Setting
General office environment, computer and desk work
Office hours are 19 hours per week:
12:00 pm to 3:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday, to include attendance at HS Faculty Meetings

Salary and Benefits
This position is part time and offers no benefits
Monthly salary of $1,750 (Position will be placed on an annual Faculty Agreement.)
