On Call Grades Substitute

Bright Water Waldorf School seeks an experienced teacher to substitute in the Grade School (1st – 8th) as needed during the 2017-18 school year.
• BA or BS required
• Experience teaching grade school or middle school age students
• Washington State Teaching Certificate preferred
• Waldorf Teaching Certificate and/or Waldorf teaching experience preferred
• Strong student management skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Be adaptable; able to change work plan based on needs of particular class
Applicants must also:
• Be able to lift 55 pounds
• Be able to climb stairs
• Clear fingerprint background check
• Have current CPR, first aid and blood borne pathogens training certificates

Founded in 1998, Bright Water Waldorf School is located in an historic landmark building on Capitol Hill. We have an enthusiastic, supportive parent group, enrollment of approximately 200, and an experienced faculty.
