About the Movement & Games Position
Explorations in movement are an integral part of the entire school day. Movement classes are carefully designed to support the overall student’s development, and it is important that the activities offered throughout the day are consistent. We provide a holistic approach to movement education by promoting imagination, enlivened fun-filled games while building and developing a child’s movement capacities. By building a strong movement foundation based on cooperation rather than competition the students in these early stages of development can experience activities for the fun of it.
Successful candidates will enthusiastically engage students in grades one through eight, will have a working understanding of students’ social and physical development; and will work collaboratively with other faculty and administrators to create an educational environment that is aligned with the school mission and program goals.
