Position Overview:
• The DCD works closely with the Board of Trustees, to create and carry out community development and fundraising strategies, present and future, of the School.
• Responsible for the vision, strategy, and implementation of programs related to the school’s various fundraising initiatives, such as annual giving, endowment, capital campaigns, major gifts, etc.
• Responsible for the vision, strategy, and implementation of programs related to parent engagement.
• Represents CSWS as a member of the Administrative Staff, working collaboratively with colleagues, sharing information regularly and participating in school-wide events and community life.
• Works to encourage and support activities which strive to build relationships with parents, alumni, and friends from within the community and the greater El Dorado County area.
• Oversees the development and production of community-building events and activities that strengthen the school’s social fabric by celebrating its rich traditions.


CLASSIFICATION:
• The Director of Community Development is a 24-32 hour/week, salaried, exempt employee.

The Cedar Springs Waldorf School is an independent, accredited Waldorf school with programs spanning Preschool/Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. We have been educating children in the Sierra Nevada foothills of El Dorado County since 1989.
