High Mowing School is now accepting applications for an enthusiastic Dorm Residential Life Faculty Member for the 2018-19 school year and beyond. A key member of our small boarding school staff, s/he actively contributes to a supportive environment for our boarding students through the creation of a warm and vibrant dormitory life where s/he fosters a strong sense of family and community.
S/he is available to students as per his/her schedule (primarily evenings and week-ends) and provides transportation to students for activities or individual appointments. S/he articulates, models, and maintains high standards, and ensures they are applied fairly and consistently.
This position follows the academic calendar.

About HMS Residential Program

High Mowing School is home to about 70 high school students who chose to attend our school as boarding students hosted in a Boys Dorm and a Girls Dorm. HMS is committed to a caring, respectful and diverse community where academic success, personal growth, and social responsibility are highly valued and fostered.











Qualifications

Our preferred candidate is experienced in holding boarding students in a residential life setting. S/he has a strong desire for providing a home-like environment to teenagers and is trained and experienced in meeting the challenges of the teenage years.

Experienced with working with adolescents, s/he wishes to contribute to a committed community of faculty, staff, and students. S/he seeks a challenging yet supportive, home like school environment where s/he can grow professionally and personally.

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• Background or familiarity with Waldorf education preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Compensation

The compensation for the Residential Life Faculty position includes:
