Full Time Early Childhood Coordinator – Administrative Position

The Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor is seeking an Early Childhood Coordinator to carry the administrative work of our Early Childhood program. Housed on two beautiful campuses in Ann Arbor, Michigan, our comprehensive Waldorf program serves a diverse range of children, from a Parent/Infant Program through the 12th Grade.

Our strongly enrolled Early Childhood Program, currently with 75 students, has a Parent/Infant program, two pre-kindergartens and three mixed-age Kindergarten classes, with a preparation program for First Grade. The Lower School campus is 11 acres and includes an Early Childhood garden, play area, woods and fields. There are approximately 170 students in our Grades and Middle School Programs, who share the campus with our Early Childhood students. Our nearby High School Campus, situated on 8 wooded and grassy acres, houses our High School program with 105 students currently enrolled.
The Early Childhood Coordinator position is the administrative center for the Early Childhood program, providing support to parents, faculty and students. We are seeking a candidate with experience working within the Waldorf curriculum and philosophy, from an administrative, faculty, board or parent perspective. Our ideal candidate will also have a deep understanding of child and adult development, with the capacity to support community members in many ways. We seek a colleague dedicated to building strong collegial and parent relationships, and one who is committed to self-development. Experience in parent education and serving students with extra needs will strengthen an application.
The Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor is celebrating its 35th year and is an accredited member of AWSNA and of ISACS (Independent School Association of the Central States). We are pleased to offer the qualifying candidate a competitive salary based on experience, along with a benefits package that includes health, life and disability insurance, with the addition of a pension plan following two years of employment. In addition you will be provided with extensive administrative and collegial support, including an experienced mentor and access to training and conferences.

Interested applicants should submit a resume, 3 references and a short biographical sketch to Siân Owen-Cruise, School Administrator. Applications will be accepted until February 28, 2018, but candidates will be considered on a rolling basis.
