The Educational Support Coordinator helps high school and upper grade students and staff recognize and integrate different learning styles so as to enable students to benefit from the full rigor and scope of the Waldorf curriculum. S/he will work closely with the Individual Learning Committee (&lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;ILC&lt;/span&gt;) and the entire faculty in implementing artistic, social/emotional and academic accommodations; will be one of the liaisons with parents of students with diverse learning styles; and will advise and, at times, work directly with these students. &lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;This position is not for the faint hearted.  The successful candidate will have a vision of the direction education must take in order to speak meaningfully to the children of today. &lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;We seek a person with extensive experience teaching in a Waldorf classroom, especially upper grades/high school, and extensive experience working with students who have processing issues, executive function issues, dyslexia, &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;ADHD&lt;/span&gt;, memory issues, and the like. A working knowledge of, or interest in, Extra Lesson is expected. Naturally, we would welcome candidates with state credentials as specialists, therapists, etc.  Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;In the past years a firm foundation of this kind of work has been developed at the San Francisco Waldorf High School, in collaboration with the grade school.  We are looking for an inspiring educator who brings a healing impulse into all school activities for all students.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;The position will begin as ¾, increasing to full time depending on the candidate’s skills and experience, starting in August of 2012. Some transitional work at the school in March, April and May of 2011 would be beneficial. Salary and benefits, in combination, are generous.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;SF Waldorf School was established in 1979, and added a high school in 1997.  We are on two campuses in San Francisco.  The high school enrollment is 150 and the lower school approximately 300, not counting our early childhood program.
