MWHS seeks a dedicated High School specialist in the Life and Earth Sciences who can also teach some sections of Math. HS teaching experience and Waldorf HS teacher training is required, but we would consider strong candidates currently in a Waldorf training program. We will also consider the right candidate who has yet to begin Waldorf teacher training; the school may provide partial financial support for training. Monadnock Waldorf School of Keene, New Hampshire opened its high school in September 2010. We have a dynamic and experienced high school faculty and a committed community of students and parents. The Lake Champlain Waldorf School is accepting applications for a woodworking teacher for the 2012-13 school year. This position is paid on an hourly basis for four High School blocks, one block for each of the High School grades (9-12). Each block runs for six to eight weeks and involves 1.5 hours two to three times a week. Sometimes only one block is taught in a six to eight week calendar period and other times, two blocks are taught in the same calendar period.

Our school was founded in 1984 and serves students from Pre- Kindergarten through Grade 12, is approved by the State of Vermont Department of Education and is well established. We currently serve 269 students. Our community is vibrant and engaging. We have 38 salaried members of our Faculty-Staff, the majority of whom have been employed at our school for many years.

Our High School is located in Charlotte, Vermont, which is a wonderful place to live and raise children. It is beautiful, with the Green Mountains to the East and Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the West. Charlotte is approximately 12 miles south of Burlington, Vermont. The area has a major University, several colleges, and is a cultural and artistic center.

The Merriconeag Waldorf High School is seeking applicants for a full-time life science teacher to join our growing high school. This position would include teaching life science main lessons (Zoology, Embryology, Botany, Plant Chemistry, Bio Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology), science classes (Cell Biology, Evolution, Environmental Science, Health and Sexuality) and three math classes per week to be considered full time. The option of a less than full-time position that would not include teaching math, would also be considered.

We are seeking candidates for this position with an undergraduate degree or advanced degree in biology, environmental science, or other related field. While teacher training in Waldorf Education and experience teaching is desirable, it is not required. Candidates should have an interest in Waldorf education and a commitment to working in an environment that fosters the education of the whole human being.

The Merriconeag Waldorf High School is a young High School founded in 2007, with a student body of approximately 50 students in grades 9-12. San Francisco Waldorf High School seeks an experienced teacher to be its Educational Support Coordinator. The Educational Support Coordinator helps high school and upper grade students and staff recognize and integrate different learning styles so as to enable students to benefit from the full rigor and scope of the Waldorf curriculum. S/he will work closely with the Individual Learning Committee (ILC) and the entire faculty in implementing artistic, social/emotional and academic accommodations; will be one of the liaisons with parents of students with diverse learning styles; and will advise and, at times, work directly with these students.

This position is not for the faint hearted. The successful candidate will have a vision of the direction education must take in order to speak meaningfully to the children of today.

We seek a person with extensive experience teaching in a Waldorf classroom, especially upper grades/high school, and extensive experience working with students who have processing issues, executive function issues, dyslexia, ADHD, memory issues, and the like. A working knowledge of, or interest in, Extra Lesson is expected. Naturally, we would welcome candidates with state credentials as specialists, therapists, etc. Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must.

In the past years a firm foundation of this kind of work has been developed at the San Francisco Waldorf High School, in collaboration with the grade school. We are looking for an inspiring educator who brings a healing impulse into all school activities for all students.

The position will begin as ¾, increasing to full time depending on the candidate’s skills and experience, starting in August of 2012. Some transitional work at the school in March, April and May of 2011 would be beneficial. Salary and benefits, in combination, are generous.

SF Waldorf School was established in 1979, and added a high school in 1997. We are on two campuses in San Francisco. The high school enrollment is 150 and the lower school approximately 300, not counting our early childhood program.
