Full Day and Afternoon Early Childhood Assistants 

About the Position

High Mowing School is seeking full day and afternoon Early Childhood assistants for the 2023-24 school year. The Early Childhood assistants work closely with the lead teacher and a team of experienced colleagues to provide a caring and warm Waldorf early childhood experience for our young students. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is experienced with assisting in early childhood. Certification or other early childhood credentials preferred. Creative and enthusiastic, they enjoy serving the needs of young children and seek a school with a strong vision, energetic colleagues, and clear leadership. At ease with indoor and outdoor play, cooking, and modeling household activities to children, they are conscious of safety and able to solve problems with discernment while maintaining confidentiality of student, familial, and organizational information.

Dependability and the ability to joyfully collaborate with the lead teacher are key attributes to the success of the candidate.

Work Hours and Compensation

• Experience in working with young children in a school setting
• Scheduling follows the school calendar.
• Competitive compensation is commensurate with experience

In 2017, Pine Hill Waldorf School merged with High Mowing School, creating a thriving, integrated preschool–12 school that offers students, families, and teachers more opportunities. Travel a bit further to Montreal in Quebec, Canada, for a weekend with an international feel.

Southern NH is home to many anthroposophical pursuits: our next door neighbor is the Temple-Wilton Community Farm, a long-established biodynamic CSA; the Center for Anthroposophy and NH Anthroposophical Society hold many educational and community opportunities; there are two local lifesharing communities and a variety of alternative health providers.
