The Waldorf School of San Diego (WSSD) High School is seeking a part-time, positive and committed Education Support Teacher to join our loving and dedicated High School team. Our continually growing high school is entering its 15th year with 52 students. WSSD High School is supported by a well established lower school as well as two younger schools in the larger San Diego area. Our campus is located in a culturally diverse urban setting that is within walking distance of the lower school campus and within 10 miles of the Pacific Ocean.

Support teachers work closely with other High School teachers and families to provide a warm, supportive and safe school experience for our students in the High School. This position is an hourly, part-time school year position of less than 15 classes per week. A candidate with ed support experience and with Waldorf training/experience is desired but not required. We are looking for someone who can start in September 2023. The ideal candidate will have a supportive nature and also possess a warm authority with the students. Flexibility as well as an ability to maintain rhythms and routines are essential qualities for this position. The support teacher position is well suited for someone with strong leadership capacities who has an interest in teaching and Waldorf Education.

Qualifications

● 1 to 3 years relevant experience

● First Aid Training, CPR Training (WSSD offers these trainings)

Salary range: $35.00 - $50.00 per class (12/14 classes per week)
