Looking for a Middle School Math Teacher for the winter until June '23-'24 school year. 4 classes a week between the hours of 11am-3pm Monday-Wednesday. $45 per 50 minute lesson includes preparation, assigning homework, grading, and year end reports. This is not per hour pay.

Lead lessons in Middle School Math, including Geometry, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra.

Micha-el School offers a well-rounded kindergarten through eighth grade education. Our Waldorf certified teachers provide a balanced, comprehensive curriculum that weaves academics with creativity to inspire joyful learning. Micha-el School is committed to providing traditional academics along with full slate of staffed specialty subjects including: Handwork, Woodwork, Eurythmy, Spanish, German, Folk Dance, Games, Strings, Choir, Wind Band, and middle school Math. We are dedicated to maintaining small class sizes, with a cap of 18 students per class.

The hiring process includes, but is not limited to: a campus tour, classroom observations, one or more hiring process includes, but is not limited to: a campus tour, classroom observations, one or more teaching demonstrations presented by the candidate, and a hiring interview with the College of Teachers.

Qualified candidates should possess: A love of math and children, Waldorf teaching experience or Waldorf training, a willingness to work in collaboration, good classroom management, organization, and communication skills. Prep and correcting work are essential to this position.

Ideal candidate has availability for: Working with a mentor, End of Year Student Reports, faculty meetings, weekly recess duties, and in-service are additional participation tasks that support the collective school and teachers.
