Extended Day Coordinator
Salary: $32,400 to $55,000 (According to Faculty Scale)
Rudolf Steiner School seeks an Extended Day Coordinator for Early Childhood and Grades 1 to 6. The position will require the candidate to lead all program coordination, to teach for grades 1 through 5, and to arrange substitution for other extended day staff.
Responsibilities include creating and following a schedule that works in harmony with the morning school day: implementing daily and weekly rhythms that hold a consciousness for time to both play and relaxation, creating crafts and activities, and arranging for afternoon snack. The coordinator will supervise the extended day teachers, ensuring that the afternoon rhythm and activities work in harmony with Rudolf Steiner School pedagogy and discuss any issues with the children to create a shared understanding.
The Extended Day Coordinator will coordinate with the Lower School Chair and Director of Human Resources to hire support staff for Extended Day and June Days, a 2-week summer program in June.

QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree: Master’s preferred
- Interest in and appreciation for Waldorf Education
- Commitment to professional growth including further education in Waldorf teaching
- Versatility, enthusiasm, punctuality, creativity
