Education Director

The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Education Director to begin with the 2022 – 2023 school year. The Education Director works closely to support both teachers and students while working collaboratively to support the administrative efforts to ensure the delivery of a high quality Waldorf education to all students in this nursery through Grade 12 school. The Education Director helps to set the pedagogical vision of the school and leads the faculty in upholding agreements and honoring decisions made through a consensus process. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to make a minimum 3 year commitment in this integral role.

The Education Director serves as an ambassador of the school for all pedagogically related activity. The Denver Waldorf School is looking for someone who has a demonstrated commitment to collaboration, objectivity, and consensus building, as well as, conflict resolution. The ideal candidate will be open, welcoming, and engaging to others and lead by active involvement in the life of the school.

The Education Director is an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the school and is a vital member or chair of multiple school committees, including the College Leadership Council. Knowledge of Waldorf school philosophy and a commitment to anthroposophy is required.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required (MA preferred)
• Waldorf teaching certification
• 8+ years teaching experience in a Waldorf school
• Exceptional customer service and ability to respond promptly
• Success in working in a collaborative work environment
• Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to think systematically and strategically
• Ability to be a visionary leader

Salary Range: $57,711 - $71,000, depending on education and experience
Available benefits: Health, Dental, Long-Term Disability, Retirement Plan, FSA and HRA plans, Tuition Remission for one child, PTO.

The Denver Waldorf School is an urban Waldorf school in the heart of Denver near the Rocky Mountains. The school enrolls approximately 315 students within a prek-12th grade curriculum. With a deeply committed faculty and student body we are able to break molds and foster individualized journeys.
