The Waldorf School of Mendocino County has enjoyed stable leadership and steady growth for the last eight years, even through the COVID-19 pandemic. We seek a School Administrator to lead us into our 50th birthday year and successfully complete our Accreditation with AWSNA. Together, with the Faculty and Board of Trustees, the School Administrator will act as a leader and guide to uphold the values, purpose and mission of our school in both daily operations and long-term objectives.

Our School Administrator will facilitate and oversee the day to day operational and administrative life of the school. They will oversee decisions in all administrative matters and collaborate with pedagogical leadership in the development of school programs and the policies that support them. The School Administrator will be an active member on the Board, Faculty and most working committees.

The School Administrator will help define and work to support the goals of Admissions, Advancement, Business, Financial and Pedagogical realms of the school. They will represent the school to the parents and the public at large, leading the school with respect for each individual, guided by principles of equity and social justice.

Our candidate will be grounded in the tenets of Waldorf education and facile with collaborative leadership. We are looking for a seasoned administrator with a minimum of 5 years of non-profit leadership experience and exemplary communication skills. Waldorf administrator training is preferred. Our School Administrator will be passionate about the social mission of Waldorf education, the role our school plays in that mission and the sustainability of our school.
Compensation for this full-time salaried position is based on experience and includes 90% tuition remission. WSMC is an equal opportunity employer.
