The Asheville Waldorf School is moving to its forever home in the 2022/2023 school year and expanding its Early Childhood program. The new location is just 20 min west of downtown Asheville and is on 8 acres of forested land where your outdoor education dreams can come true. For the last two years, we have been outside and find that the children are thriving in this environment. And hence, we are excited to continue towards our goal of becoming a Waldorf school with an emphasis on outdoor programming and earth stewardship. We strive to be as diverse as our community and put great emphasis on human relationships and social renewal. Our faculty, committees, board, administration, staff, and parents work towards harmony and mutual support to ensure our community thrives.
The EC Assistant's primary focus is to support the Lead Teacher in their work and help maintain the class environment while caring for the children. The assistant helps to create a warm, supportive environment, prepare meals, and care for the classroom's physical space consistent with Waldorf Early Childhood Education methods and practices.
