Spanish Language Teacher
The Waldorf School of Tampa Bay is a 22-year old, AWSNA member school serving age 3 through Grade 8 on a forested campus, in an urban, seaside location. We have been open and teaching in-person, on-campus classes outside since August 29th, 2020 and are experiencing tremendous growth during this time. We are looking for experienced, fully-trained Waldorf teachers who hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher,) and long to be part of our thriving community, for years to come.
The ideal candidate will have completed or are currently enrolled in a Waldorf Foreign Language Training and have experience as a teacher in a Waldorf classroom. Fluency in Spanish is required and native speakers are preferred. Teachers new to Waldorf education are also welcome if they have a serious interest in developing themselves as a Waldorf language teacher. We seek teachers with a deep understanding of child development, an interest in Anthroposophy, a love of working with young children. The candidate must also have excellent classroom management abilities, effective communication skills, and professional striving.
This is an hourly, part-time position for Grades 1 - 8.
It should be noted that our school is currently also looking for a Eurythmy and Games/Movement teacher. A candidate who is also versed in one of these areas could be considered for a full-time position.
