Third Grade Teacher
3rd Grade Class Teacher Waldorf 2022-23
Woodland Star School in Sonoma, California is accepting applications for a 3rd grade teaching position for the 2022-23 school year. Come join our vibrant, diverse, neighborhood community. Dedicated parents and teachers have, over these past 20 years, created one of the most dynamic Waldorf charter schools in California.
We are seeking someone who has Waldorf teacher training and a California teaching credential. However, if those certifications are in progress and if you are familiar with Waldorf education through your teaching experience, we would love to speak with you. We offer a competitive salary (plus a little more for Spanish bi-lingual) as well as health, retirement benefits, and a school year calendar designed for sustainable teaching and learning. We offer priority enrollment for students of hired faculty members.
This is a very loving healthy well-formed group of eager learners with an engaged and committed parent community to support you and the class in and out of the classroom. These kids are ready to show all that they can do and learn.
You will find our faculty warm, supportive, accepting and devoted to their school. We have a great time working together as we hone our craft as Waldorf educators in the public sector. We have a robust Special Education and Intervention team to support both teachers and students.
Have you ever been to the town of Sonoma? What a wonderful community to join! Sonoma is an authentic, small (10,000), picturesque California mission town in the heart of wine country about an hour north of San Francisco, ninety minutes from both the Pacific Ocean and Sacramento. Likewise, we are in the geographical and visionary center of the exciting Waldorf-inspired charter school movement. In fact, we are one of the few regions that have a Waldorf Charter high school (Credo High School). Our school is a committed, hardworking, multicultural conscious community of teachers and families. We enjoy a green, solar-powered campus and are blessed with a fun-loving, supportive parent community.
