The role of the School Psychologist / Social Worker is to provide a range of services for students who demonstrate difficulties with learning, academic achievement, social/emotional functioning, and behavior. They serve as a psycho-educational service provider involved in proactive, preventative activities, as well as responding to identified concerns. They provide services based on a combination of problem-solving, consultative, and direct service models.
- Hold current CDE Special Services Provider license with a School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement
- DORA (Department of Regulatory Agency) license preferred
- Training emphasis in Learning Disabilities / Professional Counseling preferred
- Experience working and supporting students in a school setting
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education
- Personal and professional commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion
- Robust interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills
- Dedication to collaboration in working with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and caregivers
This is .6 FTE position and we offer a competitive salary with compensation for applicable years of experience, advanced degrees, and ongoing professional development. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and PERA (retirement). Please review the 2022-23 MPCS Salary Scale.
