Mountain Phoenix Community School is accepting applications for a 

Part-Time Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2022-23 school year.

The role of the Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant is to work under the direction of and in collaboration with the supervising Speech Language Pathologist to implement intervention strategies and provide services related to speech and language development that impact a student’s educational performance.  They will regularly apply  knowledge and experience to support the remediation of language and literacy as well as provide input toward communication progress in students. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must hold Type 1 Authorization - School Speech/Language Pathology Assistant ages 0-21
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Communication, Speech/Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders/Speech Science
  • Must have completed a school Speech/Language Pathology Assistant program that meets or exceeds the American Speech/Language Hearing (ASIIA) guidelines and completed a minimum of 100 clock hours of school field experiences supervised by a certified Speech/Language Pathologist
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
