Waldorf School of the Peninsula is seeking a part to full-time math teacher to teach and guide our engaged and curious middle school students (Grades 6 – 8) in their mathematical journey, practicing mathematics in sensible ways, giving them room to adjust, instilling resilience and confidence, supporting the unfolding of their mathematical thinking, while fostering a lifelong love for mathematics. Our middle school campus is co-located with our high school, creating possible additional opportunities.
Waldorf School of the Peninsula (Nursery - Grade 12) is celebrating its 38th year of bringing Waldorf education to Silicon Valley. Our school has two beautiful campuses: Nursery through grade 5 in Los Altos and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. WSP is a full member of and accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, and also fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
A bachelor's degree and successful experience teaching a dynamic math curriculum to middle school students is required. A Waldorf Teacher Training certificate or experience teaching at a Waldorf School is preferred. We particularly welcome inquiries from experienced, Waldorf-trained teachers.
