Who We Are: Our core intention at The Treehouse: a Forest Garden School is to develop whole human beings by surrounding them with an environment of beauty, security, creativity, and wonder. We have just launched and expanded to a new location in Milwaukie OR, after 11 years in inner SE Portland. With this move, we have expanded from 1 to 3 classrooms and are inhabiting about 1/3 acre of green space which hosts a brilliant outdoor classroom, complete with an emerging food forest, permaculture learning garden, and more.

- All Co-teachers and Lead Teachers are salaried, receiving 23 paid days off a school year.
- Lead Teachers will receive $150 monthly stipend for retirement or towards a flexible spending account.

Commitment: We ask for a minimum of a 1-yearcommitment for Co-Teachers and a 2-yearcommitment for Lead Teachers.
Positions:
Toddler Co-Teacher: Part Time M-W; starting at $18/hr. ( Salary will be based on hours scheduled)
Toddler Lead Teacher: Full time. Annual salary of $45,160.5 | Monthly salary of $3,763.37/month + $150 pre-tax stipend benefit l = $3,913.37 (For a 40/hr/week teaching schedule)
P-K Lead Teacher: Starting at $21/hr based on experience and education (Salary will be based on hours scheduled)
Support Teacher:
- $16-$18/hr depending on experience and education
- Full time. Supports all 3 classes and teachers during the day.
- Gives 10 min and 30 min breaks to teachers
- M-F 10am - 4:30pm
Required certificates include (may be obtained upon employment):
- Pediatric CPR and 1st Aid Certificate
- Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Enrollment in the Background Registry
- Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety (ICCHS)
- Safe Sleep Training
- Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect
- Additional RIE infant training is needed in the infant classroom and may be obtained after hiring.
Knowledge of and/or experience in a Waldorf early childhood environment is highly sought after!
All Co-Teacher and Lead Teachers must be “Teacher Qualified” through the Early Learning Division
