We strive to empower future teachers to meet their vocation with love, expertise, integrity, and professionalism and are searching for a full-time Registrar.

Purpose of Job:

The Registrar’s strategic focus is centred around professional academic and administrative support services with the goal to strategically attract, retain and enable the development of students in line with the CCE’s vision and mission statements. In addition to this, the registrar is committed to ensuring strategic management and employment equity whilst maintaining Quality Assurance and encouraging effective leadership, management and governance.



●       Leadership in systems and technology.

●       Monitor policy development and management.

●       Record and data integrity protection.

●       Manage ICT Platform.

●       Ensure that applications and registration systems, including verification of qualifications, are functional and secured and that support and maintenance mechanisms of these systems are in place.

●       Oversee the specifications ensuring alignment with the technology driven registration functionality.

●       Develop specifications with systems analysts for the migration and functionality of the student and academic systems.

●       Ensure that changes to rules and regulations are affected immediately.

●       Ensure that the students system is managed, functional and secure and allows students to access and register.

●       Knowledge of Higher Education legislation and regulatory requirements with implications for academic administration.

●       Management of academic administrative staff.

●       Data management, analysis and reviewing academic administration for Quality Assurance processes.


●       A minimum of a Master’s degree in Education, Public Administration or Administration.

●       At least five years’ relevant experience in Higher Education Administration, five of which should have been in a leadership role, preferably in Academic Administration.

●       Knowledge of Higher Education legislation and regulatory requirements with implications for academic administration.

●       Appropriate experience in managing staff.

●       Analytical skills with ability to recognise problems, consider wider implications and present supported conclusions.

●       Excellent Computer literacy.

●       Google Suite proficiency.

●       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

●       Excellent organisational skills.

●       Strong time management skills.


The following will be a further advantage:

●       Experience education environments in basic and/or higher education.

●       Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating academic staff professional development.
