Portland Waldorf School is welcoming applications from qualified candidates to teach parent/child classes of 2-2.5 hours in the mornings to small groups of families with children under the age of three years.

Ideal candidates will have experience teaching in a Waldorf Early Childhood setting, including parent education and parent-child classes, and have completed some or all of the Waldorf Early Childhood training at an accredited teacher training center.

Responsibilities include curriculum planning and activity preparation, parent communication and education, classroom upkeep, meeting attendance, collaboration with other faculty and staff regarding student care, outreach and admissions, school fairs, festivals and events.

Requirements: Licensed by the State of Oregon, Office of Childcare, Early Learning Division, training and experience in teaching or assisting in an early childhood setting, have an understanding of Waldorf early childhood development, and the ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff to support the mission of Portland Waldorf School.

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $40.00 per hour. Opportunity to grow into a full-time position in the 2023-24 school year. Benefits include paid sick time per Oregon Paid Sick Time law.
