Summary of Position

The Early Childhood Nursery Teacher is responsible for carrying out the classroom program and activities, supervising the EC Assistant, as well as the classroom management and supervision of a designated class of up to 12 children.

Essential Functions

•      Mentor and provide direction and guidance for the Assistant Teacher

•      Meet with parents to be a partner in their children(s) early childhood development

•      Nurture, protect and guide the children in their development through imitation of domestic, practical, and artistic activities, through love and warmth, rhythm, and free, imaginative play

•      Maintain general order, cleanliness and aesthetics in classroom and campus

•      Meet prospective families

•      Plan and host Parent Nights

•      Support and oversee classroom and school festivals

Education / Certifications

•      Bachelor's Degree

•      Waldorf Teacher Training Certification

•      Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification

•      Current TB clearance

•      Completion of all DSS training requirements

•      Kindergarten teaching experience

•      Understanding of Waldorf education or willingness to learn

•      Live Scan background screening
