Location: Victoria BC & Whistler BC (seasonal travel by boat), Canada

Duration: 1 year (Summer 2026 – Summer 2027)

Compensation: CAD 50,000 + accommodation & meals + in-country travel

We are an outdoors-oriented family in British Columbia creating a one-year homeschooling journey for our 9-year-old son during his teacher’s sabbatical.

Paul is a kind, social, and curious child who learns best through movement, creativity, nature, and relationship-based learning. He has Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia, and thrives in calm, individualised environments.

We are looking for a warm, reflective, and adventurous educator (teacher, trainee, or experienced tutor), ideally with an interest in Waldorf / Steiner education, to guide Paul’s learning 1:1.

Core learning time: approx. 8:30 am – 2:00 pm, with flexibility around rhythm, seasons, and travel.

Learning will take place between Victoria, Whistler, and our sailboat, integrating outdoor education, arts, and hands-on inquiry.
