Cicada Tutoring with Allysun Sokolowski

Cicada Tutoring offers thoughtful, relationship-centered online math support for 5th - 10th grade students. My work is especially suited for students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged by math and need time, clarity, and encouragement to rebuild confidence alongside skills.

Sessions are calm, structured, and responsive to the student in front of me. I focus on strengthening foundations, addressing learning gaps without shame, and helping students develop steady habits that support long-term success.

In addition to two focused math sessions, my small-group program includes a drop-in office hour for questions and check-ins, as well as a weekly "Let's Get Organized" session. I also have a few 1:1 tutoring openings available for the Spring semester!

Homeschool families are warmly encouraged to reach out also. I have some early afternoon weekday availability for math track classes.

8‑Week Online Math Program

• Meets twice weekly at 6 PM or 7 PM Eastern, M/W or T/Th, program begins Jan 26th
• Small groups of 3-5 students
• Targeted math tracks for spring semester:
• Math Processes and Times Tables
• Fractions
• Algebra (two tracks available)
• Weekly office hour for drop‑in questions and extra support
• Weekly guided organization session to build sustainable study habits
• Consistent routines that support focus, confidence, and progress

Private Tutoring

Online 1:1 (limited availability)

• 5 PM or 8 PM Eastern, M-Th
• Once or twice weekly, depending on availability
