Minnesota Waldorf School (est. 1981) is a fully dual accredited (AWSNA & ISACS) PreK – 8th grade independent school. Our 8-acre campus is nestled on green space with wooded areas, gardens, chickens, and a playground. We offer a rich curriculum with Handwork, Movement, Spanish, Woodwork, Strings, and Choir. The Growing Together program supports parents and children from birth to age 5.
The campus is easily accessible from all parts of the Twin Cities metro area which has a vibrant cultural life rich in globally celebrated restaurants, music, and museums. Parks, lakes, and hiking and biking trails are plentiful throughout the metro. The Twin Cities boasts multiple food co-ops, alternative health practitioners, and resources for green living.
The Minnesota Waldorf School is home to committed colleagues working in collaboration with parents and a strong Board for the benefit of our school and our 175 students.
Our sister school, City of Lakes Waldorf School, is 20 minutes away in the heart of Minneapolis. 40 minutes to the east of our campus are two lifesharing farm communities – Community Homestead, and Philadelphia Community Farm. Camphill Minnesota is an hour northwest of the Twin Cities. Anthroposophical activities in the area include a strong chapter with biography classes, artistic workshops, festivals, and events offered regularly.
