Richmond Waldorf School is one of 200 Waldorf schools in North America and about 1,200 worldwide. Waldorf schools seek to develop students’ humanity through an education that promotes academic excellence, encourages artistic expression, cultivates practical skills, and strengthens social awareness and moral character.
Founded in 1996, Richmond Waldorf School has 187 students enrolled for the 2022-2023 school year. Our students love to learn, recognize the importance of community, and strive to develop their capacities so that they can take up their life’s tasks with confidence and work towards a more human future
Richmond Waldorf School is staffed by teachers who are experts in child development and the art of teaching and have a passion for working with children and adolescents. Our faculty consists of twelve full time teachers, fifteen part-time faculty, and six administrative staff. Richmond Waldorf School is a Candidate School of AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America) and SAIS (Southern Association of Independent Schools).
