A warm, holistic family in beautiful Weston, CT is seeking a nurturing, like-minded Nanny / Nanny-Hybrid Family Assistant to join their home long-term.

🧸 Childcare Responsibilities & Philosophy
Loving, attentive care for two young children (ages 3 & 15 months)
Support free, child-led unguided play
Encourage creativity, imagination, and exploration
Outdoor play, nature walks, crafts, baking, and sensory experiences
Maintain a screen-free environment
Follow natural rhythms vs. rigid schedules
Children are on consistent nap rhythms
Nanny prepares and feeds lunch only for the children
Learning Approach
The family practices unschooling — there is no structured learning, curriculum, or formal lesson planning. Learning is play-based and child-led.
Children are encouraged to ask questions freely, and the nanny is welcomed to engage and answer in an age-appropriate, respectful way.

Mom on maternity leave ~3 months
Breastfeeding and hands-on initially
Gradual, collaborative transition to nanny care
Compensation increases +$5/hr once newborn care becomes a regular responsibility
🏡 Household Support & Work Environment
This is a collaborative, tag-team household.
Mom works from home and remains actively involved. She steps in when both children need attention, creating a supportive caregiving dynamic.
Duties include:
Help with family laundry
Preparing 3 larger family meals per week
Light household support (not limited to the children)
Keeping shared spaces tidy and organized
Supporting household flow as a team
📸 Creative / Business Support (Occasional)
The family owns a business with an active social media presence.
Occasionally, the nanny may:
Hold a camera/phone while mom films Instagram reels
Help set up simple cooking or lifestyle video shoots
Provide brief assistance during filming moments
This support is minimal and always secondary to childcare.
